Million Dollary Bursary and Branch Access Expanded
Beem Benefits Grow with BlueShore Financial Merger
British Columbia - BlueShore Financial members now have access to even more branches and benefits following the recent merger of Beem Credit Union and BlueShore Financial, including the Million Dollar Bursary.
For over ten years, Beem has awarded $1,000 bursaries to student members with a simple online application. Students between the ages of 17 and 24 have received over $5 million dollars so far. The program has been extended to BlueShore Financial members.
“Giving back to our members with the Million Dollar Bursary program is one more example of how Beem invests in the communities we serve. The bursaries empower young people to chase their educational dreams. It's about fueling their ambitions and helping make those dreams a reality,” said Beem CEO Brian Harris.
There is still time to apply for the 1,000 awards of $1,000 that are available. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2025.
Applications can take less than 10 minutes and do not require an essay or academic achievement. Information about the Million Dollar Bursary is available on our websites, at all our branches, and through our social media platforms.
A key milestone has also been reached in the 18-month merger process with BlueShore as branch access officially expands this week. Whether they are in Whistler, Prince George, Abbottsford, Kelowna or Fort St. John, members are now able to conduct many of their everyday transactions in any of the 66 Beem Credit Union or BlueShore Financial branches.
