Apple Pay FAQs
- What is Apple Pay®?
Apple Pay is an easy, secure and private way to pay on Apple devices such as the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac. Collabria credit cards can be used with Apple Pay to make purchases at merchants that accept contactless payments, in participating apps and on the web.
- Is Apple Pay secure?
Apple Pay is very secure. Your iPhone’s Touch ID, Face ID, or passcode are required to initiate Apply Pay, which prevent strangers from using it. When you make a purchase, Apple Pay uses a device-specific number and unique transaction code. Apple Pay doesn’t store or share your private account information, including your name and the original card number.
- Is there a fee to use Apple Pay?
There is no cost to use Apple Pay. Using Apple Pay is the same as paying with your physical BlueShore Collabria credit cards, so any fees associated with the cards still apply.
- Which cards can be used with Apple Pay?
In general Apple Pay can be used with both credit and debit cards from supporting financial institutions. At BlueShore, all Collabria consumer and business credit cards (including USD) are available for use with Apple Pay. You cannot currently link your BlueShore Access Card (debit card) to Apple Pay; however, we will be looking into this functionality for the future.
- Can secondary cardholders and authorized users link their cards to Apple Pay?
Yes, secondary cardholders (joint account holders) and authorized users can link their card to Apple Pay. The process is similar to the primary cardholder; if additional verification is required the cardholder will be directed to call Collabria Cardholder Services at 1-855-341-4643.
- Is there a transaction limit when using Apple Pay?
Unlike tap (contactless) enabled credit and debit cards which have a transaction limit of $100, Collabria has not set a spending limit when using Apple Pay. However, in some countries and regions, if your transaction exceeds a certain amount when paying in store you might be asked to enter your PIN or sign a receipt. Merchants can also set their own transaction limits for Apple Pay if they so choose.
- What are the device requirements?
To use Apple Pay in-store, you must have an iPhone 6 or later or an Apple Watch that is paired with an iPhone 6 or later. To use Apple Pay for in-app payments, you must have an Apple Watch, iPhone SE, iPhone 6 or later, or iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 3 or later. You can also use Apple Pay on the web on supported iPhones, iPads or Macs.
- Where can I use Apple Pay?
You can use Apple Pay to make payments in stores with supported devices wherever contactless payments are accepted, within apps and on the web in Safari. You can use it in stores, restaurants, taxis, vending machines and many other places.

- How can I add my Collabria credit card to Apple Pay?
You can add a credit card directly to the Wallet app. Open the Wallet app on your device, select the plus sign at the top right and follow the on-screen instructions. You can also add your Collabria credit card through your iTunes® account.
If your phone is unable to scan the card image, you may be required to key in the card number, expiry date and CVC details. For additional information on adding your card, please visit Apple Support.
- How do I use Apple Pay to make an in-store purchase?
Using Touch ID, hold the top of your iPhone near the card reader screen. Place your finger on the home button. Wait until you see “Done” on your screen at which time the transaction is complete.
If your phone has Face ID, double-click the side button and look at the screen to confirm Face ID. Hold the top of your iPhone near the card reader screen. Wait until you see “Done” on your screen at which time the transaction is complete.
With Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold the display of your Apple Watch close to the card reader. Wait until you feel a gentle tap.
- If I receive a replacement Collabria credit card, do I need to update my card information with Apple Pay?
Your Device Account Number is connected to your card number automatically. However, if your device is not working once you receive a replacement card, we suggest you set up the new card details in Apple Pay.
- Why is the image being displayed not the same as my physical card?
Several Collabria cards were set up as a group and as a result, the card displayed on the screen may not match the one you have. Here is a summary of these groups and which card will be displayed.
Mastercard Product Image Displayed World, US Dollar, Platinum Business Actual card image Travel Rewards Gold, Centra Gold, Flex Rate Centra Gold Classic, Cash Back, Student Cash Back Low Rate Business, No Fee Cash Back Business No Fee Cash Back Business
- Can I return an item I purchased using Apple Pay?
Returning an item purchased using Apple Pay is similar to returning an item purchased using your physical debit or credit card. The merchant may need to look at the last four digits of your credit card that was used to purchase the item or the Device Account Number, which can be found on your iPhone or Apple Watch.
Depending on the return and refund policies of the store, it may take up to several days for the return transaction to appear on your BlueShore account statement. Also, certain stores may only be able to process your return using your physical card, or by cash. Anytime you make a purchase, it's always a good idea to inquire about the store's return policies.
- How do Apple Pay transactions appear on my statement or in Online Banking?
Apple Pay transactions appear on your statement as a regular transaction.
- What should I do if my device is lost or stolen?
The good news is that with Apple Pay, you authorize each purchase with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. These features help prevent other people from using Apple Pay on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Mac should they be lost or stolen.
You can go to your Apple ID account page or use the Find My iPhone app on an iPhone or iPad to suspend or permanently remove the ability to pay from that device with Apple Pay. Your cards will be suspended or removed from Apple Pay even if your device is offline and not connected to a cellular or Wi-Fi network.
In addition, you can call Collabria Cardholder Service at 1-855-341-4643 to suspend your credit cards from Apple Pay.
- Is Collabria compatible with Samsung Pay and Google Pay?
Support of Samsung or Google Pay is not available at this time.
