2014 was a year of significant achievements
In October, BlueShore Financial literally took banking to a whole new place with the opening of our new head office and Lonsdale Financial Spa® branch in North Vancouver. In addition to offering clients a beautiful environment, we brought together staff from four different locations, enabling greater efficiencies and expanded collaboration.
Our new operating name is gaining traction with our clients and the broader community, according to recent research. This growing awareness was supported by a number of community events and sponsorships, particularly our role as presenting sponsor of the 2014 Vancouver Sun Run. We were pleased to see growing recognition among clients who require a more personal and sophisticated level of advice and financial planning support.
Despite challenges such as increased regulation and flat interest rates, our financial results exceeded objectives in 2014. It was our most profitable year ever. Assets Under Administration surpassed $3.5 billion, and we achieved robust growth in total loans and deposits.
Our success is due in large part to the efforts of our team. Our corporate culture reached new heights this year, as we achieved national recognition once again as a "50 Best Small and Medium Employer" in Canada and our highest employee engagement score ever.
Moving forward, we are prepared to take on the challenges of a rapidly changing banking environment – more mobile transactions, disruptors in the payments landscape and, particularly, client expectations of immediate engagement and response. We look forward to the new places we will take banking in 2015 and beyond.
